GUANO WHEELS: We are Still Alive
We have been slacking on posts for the last year, or so, because we were super busy with our in-house mini-spine ramp. But insurance is a bitch so it's back to business. As always you can check out our current wheels selection over at the Jolly Roger Skateboards online store, right HERE.

NEW (OS) GUANO WHEELS COMING SOON!
When we started making Guano Wheels Back in 2009 the idea was simple: To take old school blank wheels that were sun damaged and revive them by dying them, printing and re-branding them as Guano Wheels. By using old school wheels from the late 80's our wheels were the perfect alternative to rock-hard 101 formulas that are all the rage these days and we were able to offer classic wheel shapes that had been long forgotten.
As Guano Wheels picked up momentum we got requests from several riders for smaller sizes and harder durometers. With the best of intentions we tried to make everyone happy, which ultimately cut into the quantity of old school wheels that we offered. In the process of trying to please everyone we lost track of the original vision of what we set out to do and sacrificed the quality that can only be found in old urethane.
We are proud to announce that this year we will be getting back to our roots and concentrating on reviving a wider variety of classic old school wheels from the 80's. Fasten your seatbelts kids! We are about to take you back to golden years of quality urethane.

Guano Update: We Are Still Alive!
I apologize for my lack of posting but we have been super busy since we got back from Kona. We moved our store front (Jolly Roger Skateboards) next door and we have put a mini-spine ramp in our previous location. So we have been busy building and we are just now starting to feel somewhat settled in to our new space.
So, now its time to play catch up here in the virtual world. Lets start with our two new wheels that came out a while back, pictured right above these words. We have new "Jeff Rasp - Secretary of Skate" wheels available in 54mm/99a and then we have our "Adam McKee - STLF's" available in 55m/100a's. Both wheels are available over at the Jolly Roger Online Store.

Keith Reese/Kona Gap/Snake Run/Yippie!
We made it to the Florida Bowlriders Cup at Kona and in true Guano fashion, Keith did shitty. But we had a blast and met a ton of cool people. Better luck next year Keith. Keith definitely had the most creative trick over the Danny Way gap with his huge finger-flip board-to board transfer (Flip-Dee-Doo) into the snake run. KONA HISTORICAL NOTE: The owner of Kona, Martin Ramos confirmed that Keith was the first to do the snake run with a keg over his shoulder. True story.

Two Classic Guano Tees are Back!
• We printed more of our Guano tees designed by Kino Kaiser on Black, OD Green and Red tees. There are a few printed with White ink and a few printed with Yellow ink in this batch.
• And we are glad to bring back our most popular selling tee, the classic Guano "Duke" Tees, designed by Alex Duke. This time we printed his graphic on Electric Green, Bright-Ass Blue and we even have a few printed on more natural looking tees for the old folks out there.
* These tees will be available at all of our Guano shoveling locations as well as being available over at the Jolly Roger Online Store soon.

D.I.Y. Fundraising: Guano Wheels in Action!
Vance Billings of Vail, Colorado is taking action! His mission is to help needy kids in Costa Rica get some skate gear.
Vance went to Jaco Beach in Costa Rica back in 2001 and made friends with the locals. When it was time to go he left everything he had for kids that really needed it. Since then he has managed to organize at least 6 deliveries of donated items. This time around we have teamed up with him in order to make a difference to the kids out there that aren't lucky enough to afford the luxury of focusing a board just because they didn't land a trick. Basically it's simple networking with a purpose, to give kids the opportunity to do what most of us here in the states take for granted. Vance will go to Costa Rica to surf and he will take a box of goodies for the kids. Our job is to gather up the goodies. Customers buy rad wheels, kids get free much needed product, Vance surfs and everyone wins!
Here's how it works: if you are in the Vail, Colorado area you can get a hold of Vance, through Buzz's Board Shop (thats the best I got right now), pick up a set of our wheels and a set of wheels will be donated to a kid that would really appreciate it.
This project is just in the beginning stages so more info will be available as I get it. And until we figure out exactly how we fit in, besides providing product, we will do what we can to generate some stoke. If you would like to help out but can't make it to Colorado on your way to the corner store, you can purchase a set of Guano Wheels on our online store at jollyroger.bigcartel.com and for every set that we sell we will donate an item. We might not be able to give wheels every time but I have some old school pads and such that would be just as good as a set of rad wheels.

More New Gauno!
I just got finished printing the last of the old school 62.5mm/92a Slime Balls that I had. So here are the final three graphics that will be available on these wheels. 1.) First up is our limited edition Kino + Guano colab wheel. We took apart his t-shirt graphic that he did for us a while back and our new "Kino Shroom Head" wheels were born. 2.) Next up we have our "Siamese Bats" that are a slight variation on our prototype wheel graphic that we did in 2009. 3.) And finally we have our "2012 Commemorative Mayan" wheels for the new age!
So there you have it folks, we have about 200 sets of these old school Slime Balls with four different Guano Graphics (including our limited edition Hermann's Hole colab wheel) for you to choose from. If you can't find a graphic that suits you then I am a complete failure as an artist and will promptly retire and start selling insurance. These will be available on the JOLLY ROGER ONLINE STORE next week for the sale price of $20. You can't beat the price for a set of classic old school Santa Cruz wheel with a modern twist.
